Seasonal Arrivals

The best of each new season

Is the time that it commences

While each has its own specialties

Appealing to the senses.

Winter enters, robed in white

With sparkling gems of snow,

To blanket fall’s denuded trees

And all the land below.

Spring arrives in garb of green

With fragrance of fresh flowers,

Announced by chirps of singing birds,

Pit-pattering of showers.

Steals summer in on scented breeze

When sunny days abound

For ice-cream cones and picnics

With family around.

Fall moves in with tinge of frost

To set the trees ablaze.

It’s time to sit by glowing fires

And dream of holidays.

The best of each new season

Is the time that it commences,

While each has its own specialties

Appealing to the senses.
