A Reader's Opinion: THE HIGHLANDER WHO LOVED ME by Tara Kingston
THE BOOK
A READER'S OPINION
An American Tempts a Highlander Spy! Johanna Templeton is an American author of Gothic Romance. She's traveled to London to care for her dying sister and her young daughter, Laurel. After her sisters death, her brother-in-law takes her niece to Scotland so they can spend time together. She doesn't believe there's any harm in the trip until she receives a letter of ransom, and her life suddenly becomes one of the perilous adventures from the pages of one of her books. Connor MacMasters is a force to be reckoned; a rough-around-the-edges drool-worthy Highlander and part of a family business—for Queen Victoria. He is on a mission to find and keep the Demon's Heart Ruby away from the clutches of a very evil man and his cohorts. But his mission is made so much more difficult with one very delectable American beauty. She just can't seem to keep away from danger and he can't keep away from her! What's a man to do to save a damsel in distress? Be the hero, of course! The last thing Johanna needs is another man in her life, or does she? Can Connor and Johanna trust each other to save a little girl and a legendary stone? Will they finally admit that they're meant for each other?
What a phenomenal and exhilarating story! Connor is everything a hot sexy Highlander spy should be—good looking with raw animal magnetism. Johanna is a strong-willed, sassy heroine who doesn't back down from danger. Lots of heart-stopping action will surely keep you turning the pages. The love story between the hero and heroine is steamy hot, and I loved the witty dialogue between Connor and Johanna, which were definitely a prelude to their sexy love scenes!
This story has everything in one awesome package: spies, intrigue, romance, and a hero and heroine who will steal your heart! Tara Kingston is a very talented writer who blends romance with just the right amount of intrigue!
